A group of Costa Rican congress members has introduced a bill that seeks to regulate the use of artificial intelligence in the country. The bill, which was developed with the help of the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT-4, will now be reviewed by a congressional committee. The committee will analyze the proposal, interview expert teams, make revisions, and determine whether it advances to plenary discussion.
The launch of preliminary CEPA negotiations reflects the two governments’ shared aspirations to promote bilateral economic relations, boost investment and trade exchanges, expedite the flow of goods, facilitate market access and create new joint investments and projects in priority sectors.
The project «Aligning the Financial Flows of Costa Rican Financial Sector with the Climate Change Objectives of the Paris Agreement» was presented to support Costa Rica’s goal of achieving zero-emissions by 2050.
The project will create a framework to map, quantify, and disclose climate-related financial risks.
