Ana focuses on trademark and patent prosecution management in Central America and the Caribbean and has a unique knowledge of Central America and Caribbean jurisdictions. She assists clients with different needs and budgets in the management of their IP Portfolios, working with decision makers to ensure a smooth registration and managements process. Active member of INTA, ASIPI and Marques. She was recently Chair of the Country Guides Committee of ASIPI and is the current chair of INTA’s Latin America and Caribbean Trademark Office Practices Subcommittee.

Partner and Director of the Enforcement Department, with more than 19 years of experience in the Intellectual Property realm. Melissa centers her practice as an enforcement lawyer in trademark counterfeiting processes, as well as developing protection strategies for trademark and patent portfolios throughout the region. She is an Active Member of the Costa Rican Bar Association, APPICR; as well as several international IP organizations: INTA, IACC, ASIPI. Additionally, she is part of the Board of Directors of the Illicit Trade Observatory of the Costa Rica Chamber of Commerce.

Gonzalo is a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in the intellectual property area, managing high volume portfolios at a regional level, as well as in the corporate intellectual property area. Throughout her career, Leyla has had the privilege of collaborating with numerous national and international companies, playing a pivotal role in the management of trademark portfolios and the execution of complex Intellectual Property procedures. Leyla possesses extensive knowledge and familiarity with the nuances of Intellectual Property laws and practices in Haiti and across the french speaking Caribbean region.

Nekeisha Persaud, an Attorney-at-Law and Certified Intellectual Property Agent, holds degrees from the University of Guyana and Hugh Wooding Law School, and was admitted to the Guyana Bar in 2016. With an MBA and experience in managing family businesses, Nekeisha skillfully handles both civil and criminal cases. Her legal acumen is further enhanced by an LL.M in Oil and Gas obtained in 2020, leading her to run an independent legal practice. She’s also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community and a trained Climate Reality leader.
